The Good German - the play (not be confused with the movie...)

Black Pearl is Sydney's newest theatre company. It was founded by Sheryl Sciro, and Frank van Putten.
The Black Pearl's first production is The Good German by award-winning American playwright, novelist and screenwriter David Wiltse is a compelling and ultimately uplifting play that follows four Germans during World War II. A university professor and his wife have, with some reluctance, hide a Jew in their home to prevent his deportation to the concentration camps.

Director of the play, Sheryl Sciro is speaking here with Ellice Mol prior to opening night.

The play runs at the Seymour Centre from 29 April to 24 May.

Ellice is a Journalist currently based in Sydney. She has a Bachelor of Biological Sciences and has studied Post Graduate Journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney. Having started on Radio 2ser's current affairs program Razors Edge, she began producing Panacea, 2ser's alternative health show. Since then she has worked on 2ser's daily news and current affairs program The Wire and The Fourh Estate, and now produces and presents her own radio program, a weekly magazine show, Wednesday Overdrive. She keeps very busy as an online producer for ABC Radio National Breakfast hosted by Fran Kelly and also reports for The Science Show on the ABC hosted by Robyn Williams.
