In the spirit of April Fools, community and student bodies staged protests around Australia today, highlighting the effects of fossil fuels on climate change. The national day of protests, dubbed 'Fossil Fools Day', called for an end to the use of fossil fuels and a transition to renewable energy sources. Ellice is a Journalist currently based in Sydney. She has a Bachelor of Biological Sciences and has studied Post Graduate Journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney. Having started on Radio 2ser's current affairs program Razors Edge, she began producing Panacea, 2ser's alternative health show. Since then she has worked on 2ser's daily news and current affairs program The Wire and The Fourh Estate, and now produces and presents her own radio program, a weekly magazine show, Wednesday Overdrive. She keeps very busy as an online producer for ABC Radio National Breakfast hosted by Fran Kelly and also reports for The Science Show on the ABC hosted by Robyn Williams.
